Privacy Policy

Raffle Genius is a comparison site, not a competition operator. You can browse and compare raffles without creating an account or telling us who you are. We keep data collection to the minimum we need to run and improve the site.

• Cookies and similar technology — essential cookies that make the site work, plus optional analytics cookies that tell us which pages and listings are popular.
• Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring site, collected in aggregate.
• Newsletter signups — if you choose to subscribe, your email address and the date you subscribed.
• Saved favourites — the raffles you heart are stored locally in your own browser, not on our servers.

We do not ask for payment details, because we never sell tickets. Any payment you make happens on a third-party operator's site under their privacy policy.

• To display live raffle listings, odds and countdowns correctly.
• To measure which competitions and pages people find useful.
• To detect and prevent abuse, fraud and technical faults.
• To send you the newsletter, if you asked for it.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site (for example hosting and analytics providers) under contract, or where we are legally required to.

When you click through to an operator, they may receive a referral identifier so the visit can be attributed to us. This does not include your name or email address.

We process data on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating and improving a secure, useful comparison service; your consent, for optional analytics cookies and the newsletter; and legal obligation, where the law requires us to keep records.

Analytics data is retained in aggregate for up to 26 months. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Favourites stay in your browser until you remove them or clear your browser data.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can unsubscribe from any email using the link in it. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

This site is intended for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
